A common practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture is built upon bringing energy and releasing stuck energy in the body's meridian system. Small needles are applied to the body to move energy called 'Qi' supplying our systems with nourishment for optimum performance. This treatment works on the musculoskeletal system as well as the nervous system for a deeply relaxing experience. The experience includes the use of other allied therapies available in Traditional Chinese Medicine such as moxibustion, Tui Na, guasha or cupping.

A technique used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and most recently integrated into the western practice of massage therapy. Cupping is used to release fascia restrictions that can sometimes limit mobility and increase the chances of muscle dysfunction. In TCM cupping is also used to remove heat from the internal body that can cause inflammation and injure muscle tissue. It is also used to reduce congestion and the build up of phlegm in the lungs. We use cupping in combination with massage to help maximize the effects of the treatment and improve the overall feeling of wellness and functional mobility.

A certified reflexologist, applying moderate to deep massage pressure to points on the soles of your feet can stimulate organs. Manipulating 'pressure points' on the feet is believed to enhance Qi "CHI" energy in what TCM practitioners believe to be meridians that run along our energetic body. This technique is less invasive than a full body massage with equal benefits leaving you feeling deeply relaxed.

Moxibustion
Click duration to book:
Moxibustion is used to treat several conditions according to Traditional Chinese Medicine including resolving "dampness" in the meridian channels that can increase the chances of water retention within the organs as well as more superficially within the interstitial. Some conditions reflect a damp environment in the body are:
Uterine fibroids & cysts
Weight retention in the lower abdomen
Bloating & slow digestion
Diarrhea and more
Moxibustion is also used to increase vitality and Qi within the organs and meridians. We use a warm Moxa stick in specidic areas of the body that are needing attention, or rice grain moxa to target specific meridians that may be blocked. This service is combined with massage therapy to help improve overal health and relaxation.
